Puddleducks and Class 2
Over the last few weeks the children have been observing a caterpillar’s life cycle. The children have made observations and taken part in discussions as each stage has been reached. It has been a fantastic hands on learning experience that the children have really enjoyed and have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding from.
To complete the life cycle it was lovely to all come together to release the butterflies. It was magical to watch and some children were lucky enough to be able to hold a butterfly before it flew away.
We are now keeping our eyes open to look for the butterflies we have released as well as looking for signs that their life cycle is starting again!
